Bill Melendez has passed away at the age of 91. A professional animator of nearly seventy years, Mr. Melendez worked on the classics "Pinnochio", "Fantasia", and UPA's "Gerald McBoing-Boing" (Academy Award winner in 1951 for best cartoon short, at that,) but will most likely be remembered for bringing Charles Schulz's "Peanuts" to life in "A Charlie Brown Christmas".
Thank you, Mr. Melendez. God bless, and rest in peace.
