The Minnesota Zoo

This past weekend we took the girls on their first trip to the Minnesota Zoo. It was cold and wet outside (plus the first snowfall of the season which delighted Alix), but inside it was wonderfully tropical.

On top of all that, Alix was able to get up close and personal with a sand shark.

If you haven't been to the Minnesota Zoo before, it's well worth a visit. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly, there are many wonderful animals to learn about, and the aquariums are stunning. Actually, that was my favorite part; I could've sat and watched the fish all day.

Better yet, the monkeys didn't throw poop at us. That's always a bonus.
